One of the better places to get a steak in the Eastern Sierra
I have visited the Carson Peak Inn a number of times, once on my honeymoon. During our honeymoon trip, we ate at nearly every high end restaurant in the June Lake and Mammoth Lakes area. While not as fancy as some, we enjoyed the Carson Peak Inn the best. Great FRESH food and wonderful service. I recommend highly.

A great new location
We went here a new weeks ago. Love the new place, the decor is fantastic and the food VERY Fresh. We were waited on by the owner's son and his wife, great people, very friendly and wonderful service. Loved the tacos, nothing else like them in Bishop. Again VERY fresh food.

Swim at Keough's
Love this place! Snack Bar, Huge pool, great folks! Great for the kids and although there is no wading pool for children, there is the very shallow Hot Pool and the one end of the large pool is only 3-1/2 feet deep. In The Summer it's a great place to sunbath, showers are available. Though it costs money, it is well worth it!

Hike the lake
We hiked this trail in the summer when they had drained most of the lake. We actually came back along the lake bed. Beautiful, nice hike, although the trail is narrow in places and requires careful attention.

Awesome and beautiful ! a must see
If you have never been to the Devil's Postpile, it is surely one of the things you won't want to miss while visiting the Eastern Sierra.
There is a Guided walk with a Forest Ranger that will help visitors understand the geology of the formation. Also want to check out Rainbow Falls, just a short hike from the monument.

Awesome tent camping!
We have stayed at this campground on numerous occasions. Never seen a bear, although there are strict rules about leaving food lying around. There are bear proof food storage boxes at every site. It is a beautiful area, lots of great fishing spots. People you meet are great and the campground hosts are the best. You can buy firewood from the camp host, and there is a store with showers at the other side of the lake. The store has the best homemade pies around! Stay here. Come on a Sunday and there will be site opening up., the bathrooms are kept very clean.
There are also some RV sites at this camp as well.

Mini Penny's, still a good bargain.
Value is good, if you use your coupons!, Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, love shopping here. The store is small, compared to those in the city, but worth the trip

Great Pizza!
A little loud but well worth the extra noise. Large Screen Video (3) playing the current games. Video Games and Pinball in the Back. Wonderful Pizza, fast service. Delivery also. They do birthdays and other large group celebrations easily. Recommended.
