With names like Shaft, Viva, and Grizzly, you know this is the scarier place to be. Steep and deep. The bumps are as deep as the powder that falls and this is one of the proving grounds at Mammoth. Look for the best pow here while it's dumping and clear bluebird powder days will be packed and cut up quick.

This chair is also known as the exercise machine since you can really rack up some elevation gain in no time. When there is fresh powder, this is quite possibly the best spot to be. Certainly you can find something fun, but this is advanced and experts only terrain.
