The campground, convenient to John Muir Wilderness, wraps around
one side of Rock Creek Lake with some sweet walk-in tent sites
along Rock Creek. The crystal blue lake and creek is a favorite
of anglers of all ages. The camp site parking aprons are "slot"
side-by-side parking aprons. This is a scenic campground with
lots of views. Aspen and Lodgepole pine provide fair to good
privacy. Firewood is provided for a fee. Bear-proof food
containers are available.
This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques.
"Possessing/storing food so bears/wild animals have access will
result in a fine of at least $150."
NOTE: Quiet hours are from 8PM to 8AM - unlike most National
Forest campgrounds, which are 10PM to 6AM
The parking aprons are paved. The campground is not suitable for
travel trailers. All parking aprons are about same size. An RV
potable water spigot is provided near the host site.
